The halo of fluorescent lighting and booming pop music gives off a beer hall atmosphere but there is no reason to be discouraged. This favorite with the locals is a great place to sample the Lao delicacies of Ping Kai (Barbecue Chicken) and Tam Mak Hung (Spicy Papaya Salad). The food here is always great and the beer is cheap and plentiful. Friday evenings see this restaurant brimming with locals in a festive spirit. Not the ideal place for a romantic interlude, but perfect for a group night out.
