Tranquility and easy style characterize this restaurant situated on the edge of a golf course in the Tygerberg. There are lovely, verdant views towards the Hottentots Holland Mountains in the blue distance. The menu is changed monthly, but is usually characterized by intriguing combinations - plenty of fruit and fruit-based sauces to complement a broad spread of main ingredients from duck to game, regular meat cuts and linefish. One of the best reasons to visit De Oude Welgemoed is for the famous wine collection. It is very impressive, but with modest prices.
