Built in 1947 and renovated in 1998, this two-story historical building is located in a densely wooded area at the edge of downtown. On the inside are beautiful mahogany floors, indoor gardens, a floor to ceiling waterfall and two fireplaces. Outside, you will find a 19-foot whirlpool and swimming spa. However, this is just a hint of the treasures you will find. This accommodation is five minutes from downtown dining, shops and the Anchorage museum, and 10 minutes from the airport. Rates vary seasonally.
