Looking for something a little more inspired than the latest Hollywood blockbuster? This annual festival is a celebration of independent and low-budget film making. From its humble beginnings as a one-night, seven-film screening, the festival has grown into a well-attended arts event. Films are shown at the Plaza Theatre and compete for cash prizes in seven categories. Come for the films but stay for the parties, where some of Calgary's most creative filmmakers toast their achievements into the wee hours.
