The Day of the Dead is celebrated in Todos Santos Cuchumatán. The celebration consists of drinking and horse racing. Riders have to make as many journeys as possible between the start and finish line and when they reach the finish line they have to down a drink. In addition, all families remember the deceased ones and form altars in their homes and children receive little dulces (sweets) in the shape of skeletons and coffins.
