This is one of the most eagerly awaited international film festivals. Held in early July, the five-day event showcases independent feature films and documentaries directed by filmmakers of African descent. More than 1000 people comprising journalists, actors, writers, filmmakers and fans participate in this festival,known earlier as the Acapulco Black Film Festival. Discussions, movies and awards are the highlights.
