This restaurant in the Mercer Hotel was opened in 1998 by celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. It is a comfortable and noisy space that draws the hip and beautiful with an open kitchen, a dining area looking out to the sidewalk, a bar and separate area with communal tables.
