Originally the Art Gallery of the Museum of New Mexico, this museum has seen magnificent art pieces for over 85 years. It is housed in a breath-taking Peublo Revival building designed by I.H and William.M.Rapp. The museum is home to works of art by artists from New Mexico and other places. Since its opening in 1917, the museum has seen a collection of over 23,000 objects in areas such as photography, works on paper, paintings, sculpture and even furniture from the 20th century. New Mexico Museum also plays host to various art exhibitions.
