In the late 1880s this site was a railroad-warehousing center. Today, after an extensive restoration in 1984, the property is a market center and a wonderful place of civic activity. Bright colors and ornate landscaping give a festive air to the exterior. There are a number of great shops that sell clothing, candles, shoes and jewelry. Many of the shops are locally owned, although you will find a Border's Bookstore and a Cost Plus World Market. If shopping makes you hungry, stop in at Pranzo Italian Grill or El Tesoro Cafe for a bite to eat.
