This festival happens only 67 kilometers from Marrakech in the village of Setti Fatma. The village is situated beneath the Atlas Mountains along the Ourika valley and it is one of a kind. Once a year, Setti Fatma opens its doors to tourists and Moroccan visitors alike. The Moussem, a traditional local festival dedicated to a marabout in the middle of August, is one of the three most important religious festivals in Morocco. It lasts four days and with its masquerades and musicians, it very much resembles a fun fair. If you don't mind the bustle of the throngs, then definitely attend.
